A hiccup? A HICCUP? A homeless man walking right through a perimeter checkpoint and onto a regional jet is a hiccup? It's freakin ridiculous! This use to happen pre-911 every once in awhile. I remember reading about a kid who walke don to a an AA flight and sat down in F class and then got noticed cuz he wasnt on the manifest for F. .

That was some hiccup. An intruder gets onto airport property and makes his way onto a passenger plane. What would it be if he had planted a bomb, a bad cough?

The chief should be fired for making such a blatantly stupid remark.

Here's a little more detail on the story.

Apparently the man was "hoping to get a ride to Chicago in one of the trucks parked at the airport." I'd assume he had in mind a ride on the Southwest bus.

Oh how true that statement is, I live in Santa Cruz and believe it or not a large number of the homeless street guys, are ex silicon valley guys who can still write code and show you how to make your laptop sing.
No I dont want to go there and up front response is that I find it very sad to find these people on the street but it is usually their choice bought about by use of chemical assistance!!! I work with some folks who will never ever be as inteligent as these guys who where, or still can be given the right incentive totally brilliant in there field.
